Patrick Sheehan and Jerry Kelly, both former tour players, were Petrovic’s colleagues in 1988 while they were students at Hartford University. Additionally, he is a member of the Hartford University Hall of Fame.
Petrovic became a professional in 1988, and in the Official World Golf Ranking in 2005, he attained his career-high position of 65th (OWGR). He won the Zurich Classic of New Orleans on the PGA Tour that same year.
