The American actress and producer Thora Birch was born on March 11, 1982.

Purple People Eater, her first feature film, earned her a Young Artist Award for “Best Young Actress Under the Age of Nine” in 1988.

Birch rose to prominence in the 1990s with roles in films such as Paradise and All I Want for Christmas (1991), Patriot Games (1992), Hocus Pocus (1993), Monkey Trouble (1994), Now and Then (1995), and Alaska.
