Seth Woodbury MacFarlane (born October 26, 1973) is an American cartoon and comedy actor, screenwriter, producer, director, and singer.
He is the creator of the television shows Family Guy (1999-present) and The Orville (2017-present), as well as the co-creator of American Dad! (2005-present) and The Cleveland Show (2009–2013).

MacFarlane attended the Rhode Island School of Design and majored in animation. He was hired by Hanna-Barbera as an animator and writer for television shows such as Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken, Dexter’s Laboratory, and Larry & Steve.

He appeared in television shows such as Gilmore Girls, The War at Home, Star Trek: Enterprise, and FlashForward as a guest actor.
He founded the YouTube series Seth MacFarlane’s Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy in 2008. He received five Primetime Emmy Awards and an Annie Award for his work on Family Guy. He received the Webby Award for Film & Video Person of the Year in 2009.
