Sauce Walka is the stage name of American rapper and songwriter Albert Walker Mondane, who was born in Houston, Texas, on June 29, 1990.
He has Honduran ancestry. Albert Mondane began rapping in 2007 under the alias A-Walk and was a member of the Houston rap duo Mostheard. Mondane began releasing mixtapes under the alias Sauce Walka in 2014, the same year he formed the combo Sauce Twinz with fellow rapper Sancho Saucy.
He is credited with popularizing the present use of the hip-hop slang phrase “drip,” which he frequently utilizes in his rhymes. Mondane rose to prominence in 2015 after releasing a diss song titled “Wack 2 Wack” directed at Drake, accusing him of copying Houston hip-hop culture.
