Where did Ryan Wright go to high school?

Wright was raised in San Ramon, California, and graduated from California High School. During his junior and senior years, Wright not only punted but also played quarterback.

Wright was not selected in the 2022 NFL Draft, but on April 30, 2022, he signed with the Minnesota Vikings. Jordan Berry, the current punter, was his opponent during training camp. The Vikings released Berry on August 25, 2022, leaving only Wright as a punter on the roster.

Wright won the NFC special teams player of the week award for the first time in his career in week 6 of the 2022 season for his 10-punt performance against Miami, which included a career-long 73-yard punt.

The Minneapolis-based Minnesota Vikings play professional American football. As a member team of the National Football Conference (NFC) North division, they participate in the National Football League (NFL). The team was founded in 1960 as an expansion team and started competition the following year. As a nod to Minnesota’s significant Scandinavian American culture, they are named for the Vikings of medieval Scandinavia. The team’s home venues are in the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis’ Downtown East neighborhood.
