The 30-year-old Robert Galloway was born on September 24, 1992, in Columbia, South Carolina, U.S. While growing up, he attended his high school at Woodberry Forest School, after which he headed to college and enrolled in Wofford College.
Galloway played tennis at his high school under Coach Randy Hudgins and led the squad to a first-place finish in the Virginia Prep League in 2007 and two consecutive second-place finishes in 2009 and 2010. He also played tennis at Wofford College from 2012-15 and graduated with an economics degree. At first, he did not decide to play doubles professionally until the end of his senior year at Wofford.
