Erika “Riki” Lindhome, an American actress, comedian, and musician, was born on March 5th, 1979. Erika Lindhome was reared in Portville, New York, after being born on March 5, 1979, in Coudersport, Pennsylvania. She is large of Swedish descent.
Her vocal and lyrical contributions to the comedic folk duo Garfunkel and Oates are what are most well-known about her. Lindhome’s acting career began shakily in 2002 with cameos on the sitcom Titus and in an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s seventh season. Lindhome joined The Actors’ Gang and appeared in the play Embedded in 2003.
She was one of four actors from the play who were chosen to play Mardell Fitzgerald, Maggie’s sister, in the 2004 film Million Dollar Baby.
Together with her friend and fellow musician Kate Micucci, Lindhome performs as “Garfunkel” as half of the comedy-folk combo Garfunkel and Oates. Beginning in November 2021, Micucci and Lindhome will collaborate on the songwriting and oversee the production of the upcoming musical animated picture Steps, whose plot will be developed by Lindhome.
