Fasth finished 35th in the 1992 Scandinavian Masters on the European Tour at Barsebäck Golf & Country Club in Sweden, 10 strokes behind winner and world number one Nick Faldo. He was the only amateur to make it.

He played for Sweden at every age level. He was a member of the Swedish team that won the European Youths’ Team Championship in Helsinki, Finland, in 1992, defeating England in the championship game.

Later that year, as one of the nation’s top four amateurs, he competed for Sweden in the 1992 Eisenhower Trophy at Capilano Golf & Country Club outside of Vancouver, Canada. He finished fifth as a team and fifth fastest Swede, fifth fastest individual.

He became a professional golfer in 1993, and during his first year, he won three events on the European second-tier Challenge Tour, two of which were co-sanctioned by the Swedish Golf Tour. This earned him the distinction of being named the winner of the 1993 season of the Swedish Golf Tour Order of Merit.

He played on the European Tour frequently from 1994 to 2018, except in 1999. At the 1997 Qualifying School, he was eligible to play on the PGA Tour, which is based in the United States. In 1998,

he tried his luck on both the PGA Tour and the European Tour simultaneously, but he was unsuccessful, and in 1999, he was back on the Challenge Tour. Since then, his primary focus has been playing in Europe.
