He’s been doing this for about a decade. Daffue, 31, has competed on mini-tours in the United States and abroad, chasing a dream of becoming a professional golfer.
It’s been a career based solely on theory. In 2015, Daffue was ranked No. 1,237 in the Official World Golf Ranking.
He’s up to 1,373 now. Last year, he earned $38,694 before expenses while performing on the Korn Ferry Tour.
His best result was a tie for 15th place in the Price Cutter Charity Championship.
He received a sponsor’s exemption to the PGA Tour’s Puerto Rico Open earlier this year and made the cut after an opening-round 67, finishing tied for 52nd. He was paid $7,110.
