Sad news circulating on the web has it that popular former professional ice hockey player who played his entire National Hockey League career for the New York Islanders and was a crucial part of their four-year reign as Stanley Cup champions in the early 1980s, Michael Dean Bossy, popularly known as Mike Bossy has passed away.
According to the report, he passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at the age of 65 after battling lung cancer.
His death was confirmed by the Islanders and TVA Sports, the French-language network in Canada where he worked as a hockey analyst.
He is married to Lucie Bossy and has two children with his wife, namely Josiane Bossy and Tanya Bossy.
Where did Mike Bossy grow up?
Mike was born to his parents – a Ukrainian dad, Borden Bossy, and an English mom, Dorothy Mills Bossy in Montreal, Canada on January 22, 1957.
Mike who happens to be the fifth son among ten children of his parents grew up in the Ahuntsic-Cartierville area of Montreal.
