Where did Michael Thompson go to college?
After his graduation from high school, Tulane University. He played for two seasons until the golf team was disbanded after Hurricane Katrina.
He then transferred to the University of Alabama. There, he played on their golf team and was the 2008 SEC Player of the Year.
In the 2007 U.S. Amateur, he was a finalist but was defeated by Colt Knost 2 & 1. However, this earned him invitations to the 2008 Masters Tournament and the 2008 U.S. Open.

Thompson attended University High School in Tucson, Arizona from 1999 till his graduation in 2003.
At the University High School, he won the Class 4A state team championship in 2003. In 2002 and 2003, he was named the Arizona High School State Player of the Year.
