On December 21, 1990, Michael Seth Brockers, a defensive tackle for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League, was born.

He participated in collegiate football at LSU. He was one of the best defensive lineman prospects when the St. Louis Rams selected him in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft.

Brockers participated in track and field and football when a student at Houston, Texas’ Chavez High School. In his junior year, he recorded 59 tackles and 10 sacks. As a senior, he led Chávez High School to the Class 5A state playoffs in Texas, where they were defeated by Humble 31–26.

Yes, Brockers attended Louisiana State University from 2009 to 2011. Following a first-year absence from LSU, Brockers participated in all 13 of the team’s contests in 2010 while serving as Lazarius Levingston’s backup as a left defensive lineman.

He started against Alabama for the first time in his career in the victory over the Crimson Tide, compiling four tackles.

As a sophomore in 2011, he started every game and finished third on the team in tackles for a loss with 9.5. He was selected for the second-team All-SEC by the Associated Press.
