Matt Ammendola is a free agency American football kicker who was born on December 11, 1996. At Oklahoma State, he participated in college football. He played for the Carolina Panthers, New York Jets, Houston Texans, Kansas City Chiefs, and Arizona Cardinals after going undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft.

In his first season, Ammendola averaged 63.1 yards and kicked off 88 times for 41 touchbacks. Thanks to Ammendola’s kickoffs, Oklahoma State ranked first in the nation for opponent beginning field position. He made a 53-yard field goal against Central Michigan on his lone try of his rookie season.

Ammendola was raised in North Penn High School after being born in Lansdale, Pennsylvania. His 56-yard kick set a school record. The Denver Broncos placekicker Brandon McManus formerly owned the record for the longest field goal made by a school. He set a school record in 2015 by making 9 field goals. The previous year, he made 7 field goals. In 2015, Ammendola placed 41 kickoffs inside the end zone.
