Manuel Luis Jacinto is a Canadian actor born in the Philippines.

His career began with several small roles on television. However, he is best known for his breakout role as Jason Mendoza on the NBC sitcom The Good Place. As one of the main characters, he played the role for the show’s entire four-season run.

Manny Jacinto was born on August 19, 1987, in Manila, Philippines, and is of Chinese and Filipino descent. In 1990, when he was three years old, his family migrated to Canada. There, they settled in Richmond, British Columbia, where he spent his childhood.

Growing up, he attended an all-boys Catholic high school, Vancouver College. In addition, he also participated in sports and played basketball and baseball.

After high school, he enrolled at the University of British Columbia. Unlike many in the acting industry who attend university for theatre, Jacinto took a different route. After his undergraduate journey, he was awarded a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
