Lavonte Lamar David (born January 23, 1990) is an American football linebacker for the National Football League’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers (NFL). He attended the University of Nebraska and was selected by the Buccaneers in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft. David has been named to three All-Pro teams, made one Pro Bowl appearance, and won Super Bowl LV in 2020, a 31-9 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

David signed with Middle Tennessee State but later transferred to Fort Scott Community College in Fort Scott, Kansas. David guided Fort Scott Community College to the Junior College National Championship Game while leading the conference in tackles and tackles for loss. He was also named to the Jayhawk Conference first team twice and was a Region VI All-American in 2009. David was named the defensive MVP of the 2009 national championship game against Cam Newton’s Blinn. David had 12 tackles, including a sack of Newton on the game’s final defensive play, before Fort Scott was defeated by a punt return touchdown. David led the Jayhawk Conference with 93 tackles in his first season at Fort Scott.
