Kyle Chandler is a 57-year-old versatile American actor. Quiet Victory: The Charlie Wedemeyer Story, a 1988 television film, marked his movie debut.

Chandler had his first regular television appearance in the ABC program Homefront.

Chandler attended and graduated from George Walton Academy in Monroe, Georgia. He subsequently enrolled at the University of Georgia to study drama after high school.

He however dropped out of college in 1988 to pursue his acting career without graduating. Chandler was signed by ABC the same year he dropped out of college and moved to Hollywood as part of the network’s new talent initiative.

That same year, he made his television film debut as a supporting hero in Quiet Victory: The Charlie Wedemeyer Story. His first significant acting role was as Private William Griner in Tour of Duty on television.
