Chukwuemeka Kingsley Jonathan, an American football defensive end for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League, was born in Nigeria on April 28, 1998. In 2022, the Buffalo Bills signed him as an undrafted free agent after he played college football at Syracuse. Additionally, he was selected first overall in the 2022 CFL Global Draft.

Jonathan chose to enroll in the Syracuse program again as a fifth-year senior in 2021 after receiving an additional year of eligibility. He made 20 tackles and 4.5 sacks while participating in all 12 games and starting one of them.
He was a Campbell Trophy semifinalist, Witten Award finalist, and Wuerffel Trophy watchlist player. For his “excellence in football, scholarship, and citizenship,” he was given the Joseph Alexander Award.
