Kaye Adams (born 28 December 1962) is a Scottish journalist and television presenter. She was a frequent panelist on Channel 5’s daily morning shows The Wright Stuff from 2007 to 2012. She was an anchor on ITV’s topical debate show Loose Women from 1999 to 2006 and again in 2013.
She hosts the BBC Radio Scotland morning show on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Where did Kaye Adams (TV presenter) go to college and high school?
Adams attended Abbotsgrange Middle School and Grangemouth High School before transferring to the fee-paying St George’s School in Edinburgh and the University of Edinburgh, where she earned an MA Honours in Economics and Politics.
Due to her work on Loose Women, Kaye is frequently covered by a guest presenter, especially on Fridays.
Adams began her media career as a graduate trainee at Central Television, where she specialized in politics and news reporting; her first coup was a one-hour interview with Margaret Thatcher.
Adams stayed focused on hard news for the following few years after joining Scottish Television’s nightly news show, Scotland Today, in early 1988. She was among the first journalists to arrive on the scene of the Lockerbie bombing in 1988. A fortunate opportunity to present a debate show for Scottish Television when its original anchor Sheena McDonald left launched her on a new path in 1992. Scottish Women ran for six years under Adams’ direction (1993-99), winning a number of prizes and launching Adams’ career as a talk show host.
Adams was named as a contender for the twenty seasons of Strictly Come Dancing in 2022.
