Juwan Antonio Howard is a former professional basketball player from the United States who is now the head coach of the Michigan Wolverines men’s basketball team.
He began his NBA career as the fifth overall choice in the 1994 NBA draught, taken by the Washington Bullets. He was a one-time All-Star and All-NBA power forward.
The Big Ten Conference announced on February 21, 2022 that coach Juwan Howard has been banned for five games (the rest of the regular season) and fined $40,000 for punching Wisconsin assistant coach Joe Krabbenhoft in the face.

He joined with the Miami Heat in 2010 and went on to make his first NBA Finals appearance.
The next season, he remained with the Heat and won his first NBA title in the 2012 NBA Finals. He returned to the Heat for a portion of the next season, where he earned his second title.
After retiring as a player in 2013, he worked as an assistant coach with the Heat for the following six seasons until taking over as head coach at Michigan in 2019.
