After high school, she went ahead to study at the American Intercontinental University in London, graduating in 2006 with a degree in fine art. She also took theater workshops at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, and in 2007 moved to New York for a few years to take acting classes from Susan Batson at Black Nexxus.
