Jonathan Williams (born February 2, 1994) is an American football running back for the National Football League’s Washington Commanders (NFL). He attended Arkansas and was drafted in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills. Williams has also played for the New Orleans Saints, the Denver Broncos, the Indianapolis Colts, and the Detroit Lions.

Jonathan Williams was born in Allen, Texas, and attended Allen High School, where he racked up over 3,500 rushing yards and scored 39 total touchdowns.
He appeared in 11 games as a true freshman in 2012, making two starts. He rushed 45 times for 231 yards and caught eight passes for 208 yards and two touchdowns. On the first offensive play of the game against Kentucky, he scored his first career touchdown on a 74-yard pass, his first career reception.
As a sophomore in 2013, he appeared in all 12 games, starting 11 of them. He had 150 carries for 900 yards and four touchdowns, as well as seven receptions for 72 yards and two touchdowns. They were Arkansas’ second pair of teammates to each rush for at least 900 yards in the same season, joining true freshman Alex Collins.
Darren McFadden and Felix Jones were the only previous tandems to accomplish this feat, doing so in 2006 and 2007. Despite sharing carries with Collins, he rushed for 1,190 yards on 211 attempts (5.6 average) and 12 touchdowns in 2014.
Williams announced on YouTube on December 24, 2014, in a message to Razorback fans, that he would be returning for his senior season at Arkansas. Williams suffered a foot injury during summer camp leading up to the 2015 season, forcing him to miss the entire regular season.
