Considered a four-star recruit by Rivals.com, he committed to play college football at the University of Arkansas, after he had initially committed to the University of Missouri.
During his true freshman season, he played in 11 games, and made two starts. He later missed his 2015 season after suffering a foot injury during summer camp leading into the season.
After his high school career, in the fifth round (156th overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft, he was selected by the Buffalo Bills.
