John Cameron Mitchell is an American actor, playwright, screenwriter, and director. He was born on April 21, 1963, in El Paso, Texas.
He relocated to pursue his acting career after school and landed his first theater role in a 1985 production of Huckleberry Finn by Organic Theater at Chicago’s Goodman Theatre.
He then made his debut New York acting role as Huck Finn from the Broadway production of Big River.
He was a member of the original cast of the Broadway production Hello Again and was nominated Drama Desk award.
