Joe Tryon-Shoyinka, an American football outside linebacker with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League, was born on April 30, 1999. (NFL). He attended Washington for his college football career before being selected by the Buccaneers in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft.

Tryon-Shoyinka went to Hazen High School where he played football, basketball, and baseball. He grew up in Renton, Washington. The Seattle Times awarded him the region’s defensive lineman of the year when he was a senior. Tryon-Shoyinka moved his collegiate football commitment from Washington State to the University of Washington.

During his true freshman year at the University of Washington, Tryon-Shoyinka redshirted. He participated in 12 games as a redshirt freshman and recorded 20 tackles, two tackles for loss, and one sack. In his redshirt sophomore season, Tryon-Shoyinka recorded 41 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, and eight sacks. He was voted second-team All-Pac-12 Conference. Tryon-Shoyinka announced that he will get ready for the 2021 NFL Draft after the Pac-12 initially declared that they would postpone the 2020 season because of the COVID-19 outbreak.
