Jessalyn Sarah Gilsig is best recognized for her role as Terri Schuester on the television show “Glee.” She was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and is the daughter of Claire Gilsig, a writer and translator, and Toby Gilsig, an engineer.

Jessalyn’s father is also a writer and translator. At the age of twelve, she had her acting debut in the role of a voice actor in the production of Masquerade by the National Film Board of Canada.

Gilsig started out in the entertainment industry as a voice actress. She has provided her voice for a number of roles in movies and television series, including Young Robin Hood and Masquerade.
