A cornerback with the Detroit Lions of the National Football League, Jeffrey Chidera Okudah was born on February 2, 1999. (NFL). Prior to the Lions selecting him third overall in the 2020 NFL Draft, he played college football at Ohio State, where he was a resounding All-American in 2019.
Okudah participated in all 14 games while a true freshman at Ohio State in 2017 and recorded 17 tackles. He participated in 13 games as a sophomore in 2018 and made 32 tackles. He made his first career interception against the Miami Redhawks as a junior in 2019. Okudah has 34 tackles, 9 passes defended, and 3 interceptions in 2019 as a junior. He received unanimous selection to the 2019 College Football All-America Team for his performance that year, and he was also named a finalist for the Jim Thorpe Award. Okudah made the decision to forego his senior year and enter the 2020 NFL Draft.
