Jeffrey Chidera Okudah, a cornerback with the Detroit Lions of the National Football League, was born on February 2, 1999. He played college football at Ohio State, where he was a resounding All-American in 2019 before the Lions selected him third overall in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Okudah attended South Grand Prairie High School in Grand Prairie, Texas. He was a five-star recruit who committed to Ohio State University in January 2017.

Yes, as a true freshman in 2017 at Ohio State, Okudah played in all 14 games and made 17 tackles. As a sophomore in 2018, he played in 13 games and recorded 32 tackles. As a junior in 2019, he intercepted the Miami Redhawks for the first time in his career.

As a junior in 2019, Okudah recorded 34 tackles, 9 pass deflections, and 3 interceptions. Due to his performance that year, he was unanimously selected to the 2019 College Football All-America Team and was a finalist for the Jim Thorpe Award. Okudah chose to forego his senior year and declare for the 2020 NFL Draft.
