Jake Tonges is an American football tight end currently playing for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League. Jake Tonges was born on July 8, 1999. On April 30, 2022, Tonges became a member of the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent after signing with the team. After training camp was through, he was included on the Bears’ original 53-man roster.
Tonges is the third Cal athlete to announce he would join the NFL draft with remaining eligibility. Prior to the season, quarterback Chase Garbers and linebacker Kuony Deng stated that they would be turning pro despite the opportunity to play another season of collegiate football.
