Jake Daniel Elliott, a placekicker for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL), was born on January 21, 1995.

In addition to becoming one of three players to receive the Lou Groza Award’s “Stars of the Week” designation, he was named the American Athletic Conference’s Special Teams Player of the Week. Elliott led the American Athletic Conference in scoring during his sophomore season, averaging 9.2 points per contest.

He received the First Team All-Conference and Conference Special Teams Player of the Year honors for the second consecutive year. He made 21 of 32 field goal attempts and all 57 extra-point tries during his season, scoring 120 points overall. His 57 extra points, 21 made field goals, and 120 points scored overall were the most in the American Conference.

From 2013 until 2016, Elliott attended Memphis and participated in college football there. He played for Memphis under head coaches Mike Norvell, Darrell Dickey, and Justin Fuente.

After summer practice, Elliott was selected as the first-team kicker. Elliott made 16 out of 18 field goals in his 2013 campaign. He led the Tigers in scoring in his first season with 72 points (24 of 24 extra points and 16 of 18 field goals).
