James Hunter Renfrow, a wide receiver for the National Football League’s Las Vegas Raiders, was born on December 21, 1995. (NFL). Renfrow, one of three Clemson players selected by the Raiders, was selected by Oakland with the 149th overall pick in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He was the only offensive player selected from the National Championship squad. Renfrow was selected by the Raiders as the 17th of 28 wide receivers.

Renfrow enrolled at Clemson University and immediately walked on to the Clemson Tigers football team, despite obtaining scholarship offers to play baseball and football at colleges in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). He was barely 155 pounds and had a height of 5 feet 10 inches (1.78 m) (70 kg). He opted to sit out in 2014. He gained weight in 2015, reaching 176 pounds (80 kg), and was awarded a scholarship. Renfrow was a redshirt freshman in 2015 who participated in all 13 games, started 10 of them, and finished with 492 yards and five touchdowns.
