English actor Dame Helen Mirren DBE was born Helen Lydia Mironoff on July 26, 1945. She is the only performer to have won the Triple Crown of Acting in both the US and the UK, and she has received numerous awards. She won an Academy Award and a British Academy Film Award for playing Queen Elizabeth II in The Queen.

She also won a Tony Award and a Laurence Olivier Award for the same role in The Audience. She also won three British Academy Television Awards for her role as DCI Jane Tennison in Prime Suspect. She also won four Primetime Emmy Awards, including two for Prime Suspect.

Prior to making her West End stage debut in 1975, Mirren had the opportunity to join the Royal Shakespeare Company thanks to her stage performance as Cleopatra in Antony and Cleopatra at the National Youth Theatre in 1965.

She later found success in television and film, starring in movies like The Madness of King George (1994), Gosford Park (2001), and The Last Station (2009), for which she was nominated for an Academy Award.
