Elaine Goodman Luria is the representative for Virginia’s 2nd congressional district in the United States. She was a Navy officer for 20 years before running for Congress.
In 2018, she defeated Republican incumbent Scott Taylor and repeated the same thing in 2020 to retain her seat. Her congressional district encompasses parts of Virginia Beach, Williamsburg, and Poquoson.

Luria was born in Birmingham, Alabama on 15th August 1975. After her graduation from high school in 1993, she enrolled at the United States Naval Academy to study physics, history, and French.
