She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and African American studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Juris Doctorate from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. Williams clerked for the Louisiana Secretary of State’s office and the Louisiana Attorney General’s office as a law student, and he assisted New Orleans council members in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
