
DeShon Elliott, a free safety for the National Football League’s Detroit Lions, was born on April 21, 1997.
Elliott was chosen 190th overall by the Baltimore Ravens in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. On August 31, 2018, he was placed on injured reserve due to a fractured forearm.
The Houston Texans’ Deshaun Watson was the target of Elliott’s first career sack as the Ravens defeated Houston 33-16. The organization placed him on the reserve/COVID-19 list on November 3, 2020, and he was activated four days later.
Elliott would continue to start in place of an injured Ravens secondary in 2021. Elliott was placed on injured reserve on November 8, 2021, after suffering a season-ending biceps and pectoral injury late in the fourth quarter of a Week 8 34-31 overtime victory over the Minnesota Vikings.
