Derrick Henry born January 4, 1994, is an American football running back for the National Football League’s Tennessee Titans.

His commanding rushing game and larger-than-average size earned him the moniker “King Henry.”

Henry, according to our research, attended Yulee High School where he played American football, basketball, track, and field sports.

As a rookie in 2009, Henry rushed for over 2,465 yards and 26 touchdowns. In 2010, he was awarded first-team All-Coast running back after rushing for 2,788 yards and 38 touchdowns on 8.9 yards per attempt.

As a junior in 2011, he carried for 2,610 yards and 34 touchdowns, earning first-team All-Coast accolades. He broke the Florida high school record with 510 yards against Jacksonville Jackson.

As a senior, he set a state record with 4,261 yards and 55 touchdowns. He finished his high school football career with 12,124 rushing yards, breaking Ken Hall’s record.

He also rushed for 153 touchdowns as a quarterback in addition to his 4,000-yard rushing career.

His career touchdown totals are fifth all-time among high school quarterbacks in the United States. In the 2013 All-American Bowl, he ran for 53 yards with a score and a two-point conversion for the East team.
