Danny Gray, an American football wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League, was born on April 1, 1999. (NFL). Before being selected by the 49ers in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft, he played collegiate football at Blinn and SMU.

Gray attended James Madison High School while attending Dallas, Texas, as a child. He rushed for 159 yards and three touchdowns and had 34 receptions for 699 yards as a junior.

Gray, a three-star prospect, chose Missouri over offers from Kansas, Bowling Green, Florida Atlantic, Grambling State, Tulane, Stephen F. Austin, North Texas, and Incarnate Word to play collegiate football. He did not enroll because he was declared academically ineligible to play for Missouri.
