Russian actor and director Danila Valeryevich Kozlovsky was born on May 3, 1985.

Danila Kozlovsky was born in Moscow, Russian SFSR, in the Soviet Union. His father, Valery Kozlovsky, was a professor of marketing and mass communication at Moscow State University. Stage actress Nadezhda Zvenigorodskaya is his mother. Yegor, his older brother, and Ivan, his younger brother, are both his siblings.

He is one of three boys and the middle kid in the family. When Danila was a young child, she was a little overweight. From a young age, Danila was enrolled in dance and music classes, where she learned to play the saxophone and the alto.

His high school is unclear, however, Kozlovsky attended the Kronshtadt Naval Military School, where he remained until his graduation in 2002. After graduating, he enrolled in Lev Dodin’s acting/directing course at the Saint Petersburg State Theatre Arts Academy.

During his fourth year of education at the Little Drama Theatre (Theatre de l’Europe), he played Edgar in King Lear (2006). For the performance, he received his first theatrical award: the Best Debut Special Prize of the Expert Council of the “Golden Sofit,” the most esteemed theatrical accolade in Saint Petersburg. Then came the graduation play “Warsaw Melody” and a part in the play Life and Fate’s Paris premiere.
