Chris Streveler attended a Roman Catholic School called Marian Central Catholic in his home state Illinois. He played a number of sports during his time in high school but ultimately settled on football where he put in some decent performances.
He was offered admission to the University of Minnesota where he spent the first three years of his college football career playing for the Minnesota Golden Gophers.
He later moved to the University of South Dakota, to enhance his chances of getting drafted. During his time playing for the South Dakota Coyote, he won the MVFC Offensive Player of the Year award.
