Christopher James Uzomah, who was born on January 14, 1993, is a tight end for the National Football League’s New York Jets (NFL).

He played college football at Auburn. In the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft, the Cincinnati Bengals picked him up.

Uzomah’s main job as a tight end at Auburn was to block. In his four years there, he only caught 29 passes, but seven of them went for touchdowns. While he was at Auburn, his major was in marketing. As a freshman, he threw a touchdown pass that went 4 yards.

Uzomah and his teammates Angelo Blackson and Jermaine Whitehead went to the 2015 Medal of Honor Bowl. He made one catch for 29 yards, which helped the National team beat the American team 26–14.

On January 17, 2015, it was reported that Uzomah would be playing in the 2014 Senior Bowl.

In the Reese’s Senior Bowl on January 24, 2015, Uzomah caught a pass for nine yards and was on the South team that lost 34–13. Even though Uzomah was in both all-star games, he was not one of the 19 tight ends who were asked to perform at the NFL Combine.

C. J. Uzomah is the son of Xavier and Stephanie Uzomah. He went to high school in Suwanee, Georgia, where he played quarterback at North Gwinnett High School.

In his senior year, he threw for 238 yards and scored two touchdowns, ran for 74 yards, and caught passes for 168 yards and one touchdown. As a junior, he threw for 1,750 yards and 15 touchdowns and ran for 800 yards and 10 more touchdowns.
