Where did Austin Hooper go to high school?

Hooper played high school football at De La Salle High School in Concord, California.

He announced on January 4, 2016, that he would enter the 2016 NFL Draft, foregoing his last two years of eligibility. He chose to declare since the tight-end draft class was extremely thin and his draft stock was high.

Hooper had an overall strong showing, finishing third among tight ends in the 40-yard dash. Austin participated in positional drills for scouts and team representatives from all 32 NFL teams at Stanford’s Pro Day on March 17, 2016.

The Titans tight end met with the Miami Dolphins, Atlanta Falcons, Denver Broncos, and Tennessee Titans, among other teams.

NFLDraftScout.com, Sports Illustrated, and NFL expert Mike Mayock all ranked him as the second-best tight-end prospect in the draft.

Experts and scouts predicted that the Stanford product would be drafted in the second or third round.
