Where did Alexander Mattison go to high school?

American football running back Alexander Mattison, born on June 19, 1998, plays for the National Football League’s Minnesota Vikings (NFL). The Vikings selected him 102nd overall in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft after he played college football for Boise State.

 

Where did Alexander Mattison go to high school?

Mattison played high school football while attending San Bernardino High School in San Bernardino, California.  In each of his final two seasons, he carried for more than 2,000 yards, racking up 2,017 yards and 26 touchdowns as a junior and 2,057 yards and 22 as a senior in 2015.

After his senior year, Mattison was chosen to participate in the Inland Valley Football Classic. Mattison competed in wrestling, track, and football.

In his true freshman year at Boise State in 2016, Mattison played in all 13 games and rushed for 328 yards and four touchdowns on 67 attempts. He participated in all 14 games as a sophomore, rushing for 1,086 yards on 212 attempts and scoring 12 touchdowns.

He rushed for 1,415 yards on 302 attempts with 17 touchdowns in 13 games as a junior in 2018. After rushing for 200 yards and a score in the 2018 Mountain West Conference Football Championship Game, he was named the game’s offensive MVP.
