Albert Pujols is a Dominican-American professional baseball first baseman and designated hitter for the Major League Baseball St. Louis Cardinals (MLB). On January 16, 1980, he was born. He spent his first 11 seasons in MLB with the Cardinals, then spent more than nine seasons with the Los Angeles Angels before joining the Los Angeles Dodgers for half a season.

Pujols was born in the Dominican Republic and emigrated to America in 1996. He was drafted by the Cardinals in the 13th round of the 1999 MLB draft after playing one season of collegiate baseball.
