Albert Lincoln Roker Jr., born August 20, 1954, is a weather forecaster, journalist, television personality, and author from the United States. He is now the weather anchor on NBC’s Today and co-hosts 3rd Hour Today on occasion.

Roker, the son of Jamaican Isabel and Bahamian bus driver Albert Lincoln Roker Sr., was born in Queens, New York. Initially, he hoped to be a cartoonist.

He aspired to be a cartoonist at first. He was reared Catholic, his mother’s faith, and attended Xavier High School in Manhattan.

He earned a B.A. in communications from the State University of New York at Oswego in 1976.

Roker joined the Friends of RMHC celebrity board in 2007 after becoming an official supporter of Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Roker filed a lawsuit on November 23, 2015, alleging racial discrimination after attempting to hail a cab with his kid.

The cab driver allegedly drove by them on his way to pick up a white man on the next block.

On Twitter, Roker reported that a “White man was picked up by a cab driver a block away. Why does Uber win?” According to the New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission, the driver faces a $500 fine and has his license suspended.
