Aaron LaRae Jones, a running back with the National Football League’s Green Bay Packers, was born on December 2, 1994.
Jones was born in Savannah, Georgia, to US Army non-commissioned officers Vurgess and Alvin Jones Sr.
Due to his parents’ assignments, Aaron, his twin brother Alvin Jr., older brother Xavier, and sister Chelsirae frequently migrated, settling in Germany, Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, and the city of El Paso, close to the Mexican border.
Sean Kugler was the head coach of the UTEP Miners, where Jones played college football from 2013 to 2016.
Jones participated in nine games as a freshman. He had two rushing touchdowns, and 11 carries for 127 yards in his collegiate debut against New Mexico. He rushed for 186 yards, which was a season-high, on October 26 versus Rice. He totaled 811 rushing yards, four rushing touchdowns, and four receptions for 14 yards by the end of the 2013 campaign.
