She announced the end of a career in which she co-hosted 20/20, ABC Evening News, and not only The View.
The Barbara Walters Building is the name given to ABC News New York City headquarters, which is located at 47 West 66th Street. Walters departed the following May.

“She’s one of America’s last good ears, allowing even the most notorious among us to have a say, asking many (if not always all) of the questions we wanted answers to, while never seeming to make the occasion about herself.”
When was Barbara Walters’s last appearance?
Barbara Walters hasn’t been in the public eye since 2016, according to sources, but she’s never far from the minds of the people who work at The View, the daytime talk show she founded in 1997.
The current hosts of the talk show Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and Sara Haines met in person last month to launch its 25th season for the first time in a year and a half. They gave Walters a toast during the reunion, saying, “For you, Barbara!”
Here are some more facts about Walters before his 92nd birthday on September 25.
Two months after a source told OK! that Walters is “in horrible, bad shape” and “spends most of her time alone,” the tabloid Globe claimed in December 2020 that Walters has dementia.
