Clark “Jethro” Gillies was a retired professional ice hockey player from Canada. He was born on April 7, 1954.
During the National Hockey League’s New York Islanders’ four-year Stanley Cup run, he offered both physical presence and offensive punch.
Gillies had a 958-game career with 319 goals, 378 assists, and 1023 penalty minutes. In 2002, he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
