Quavo (born Quavious Keyate Marshall on April 2, 1991) is an American rapper. He is best known as a co-founder and former frontman of the hip-hop duo Migos. Quavo is Offset’s cousin and the late Takeoff’s uncle, both of whom are members of the Migos. He also owns a tiny portion of the FCF Glacier Boyz.
Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset, who were also rappers, formed Migos in 2008. The three members are all related and were raised collectively by Quavo’s mother. Quavo’s cousin is Offset, while his uncle is Takeoff. The Lawrenceville, Georgia-based band was previously known as Polo Club. They determined that the name “Polo Club” was too generic, so they changed it to “Migos.”
Following the 2013 release of their song “Versace,” Migos gained popularity. The song was remixed by Canadian rapper Drake, and it peaked at number 99 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 31 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. With the song “Champions,” which also includes a number of other artists, Quavo released his first lead single as a solo artist
