Jody Gibson nicknamed “Babydol” was a former American madam who was active in Hollywood from the late 1980s through the 1990s.

Gibson grew up in Westchester County, New York, in a showbiz family.

Her father was a CBS radio broadcaster in the 1940s who eventually managed a clothes store business.

Tobe Gibson, her mother, was a personal talent manager who uncovered Tom Cruise as an unknown actor.

Amy Gibson, her sister, was an Emmy-nominated actress; and Georgia Gibbs, her aunt, was a singer.  Gibson’s desire to be a pop music singer was inspired by her aunt’s success. She left Westchester after high school and moved to Manhattan, where she resided on the Upper East Side for several years.

In 1984, she moved to Los Angeles, California, in search of a singing and modelling career. For two years, she was a guest star on the USA’s biggest platforms.

She was arrested in June 1999 on allegations of pimping and conspiracy, and after being convicted, she served 22 months in the Central California Women’s Facility.

Under the alias “Sasha of the Valley,” Gibson ran a “escort service” in Hollywood, employing several hundred women across 16 states in the United States of America, as well as in Europe.
