American mixed martial artist Jonathan Dwight Jones, also known as Jon Jones, is currently contracted to the Ultimate Fighting Championship, where he has competed in the light heavyweight class.
He is the child of Arthur Jones Jr. and Camille Jones, who passed away. He is currently 35 years old and was born to his parents on July 19, 1987, in Rochester, New York, in the United States.

At Union-Endicott High School in upstate New York, Jones was a standout wrestler and state champion before starting his MMA career. Due to his frail build, he also participated in football as a defensive lineman, earning the moniker “Bones” from his coach.
Jones achieved success at Iowa Central Community College by winning a national NJCAA title. He left school to start his MMA career after transferring to Morrisville State College to study criminal justice.
