Tatum went to Chaminade College Preparatory School in St. Louis County, where he was rated as a five-star prospect and is regarded as one of the best players in the Class of 2016.

He played college basketball for the Duke Blue Devils before entering the 2017 NBA Draft. He was selected third overall by the Boston Celtics.

Tatum, a three-time NBA All-Star, took first place in the 2019 NBA All-Star Skills Challenge at the NBA All-Star Weekend.

Tatum once rallied the Celtics from a 32-point hole against the San Antonio Spurs, producing the third-largest comeback in NBA history.

Tatum was selected Eastern Conference player of the week after averaging 42.7 points per game, 6.0 assists per game, and 6.0 rebounds.

Jayson Tatum earned a gold medal for Team USA at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo in 2020.
